Brown & Hurley pallet sale – 16th April 2016

Posted on: April 16, 2016 at 8:30am

Before 8am, eleven (11) Club members had arrived in their vehicles at the Yatala premises of Brown & Hurley for a vehicle display at their pallet sale. Two (2) other club members arrived later in the morning. The cameras were clicking and a group photo was taken in front of a new Kenworth prior to the owner taking delivery of it later in the morning.

There was a sausage sizzle run by Surf Lifesavers and they were well patronised, face painting and a 3 piece band ‘Whisky Mountain Boys’ entertaining the people to well after midday along with the ‘Castrol” girls with giveaways.

Many purchases were made with excellent bargains to be had and our Club members did their fair share of buying.

It was a wonderful day socializing with other people who share our passion of heritage vehicles with great enthusiasm. Many trucking stories were told and old friends and acquaintances rekindled before departing around 12.30pm.

Thanks to Brown & Hurley for the invitation once again.
